Overview

Condensed into two comprehensive days, this accelerated course at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center provides a high-yield review of the material tested in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and recertification examinations in Medical Oncology.

As the body of knowledge of medical oncology expands rapidly in depth and complexity, successfully preparing for board examination has become increasingly challenging. This course is designed to provide a focused review of the diagnosis, staging, and management of solid tumors and malignant hematologic disorders. Emphasis will be placed on common, curable malignancies and other high-impact topics frequently tested on the boards.

Course content will be delivered through concise micro-lectures that efficiently cover essential concepts and key examination material. Participants will receive a course workbook containing summary notes for each topic to support study and exam preparation, while serving as a guide and resource for note-taking throughout the course.

The program will conclude with a networking reception on Saturday evening, providing participants with an opportunity to connect with faculty and colleagues, exchange ideas, and foster professional collaborations.

This activity is designed for hematology/oncology fellows preparing for initial board certification, as well as medical oncologists seeking initial certification or recertification. Registration is complimentary for fellows to attend this course.
