This course is composed of lectures and interactive audience participation encouraging the intellectual exchange of ideas between faculty and participants. Additionally, this year’s program will feature interactive hands-on workshops.

This educational activity is endorsed by the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS).

Immunotherapy – An introduction: Attendees will learn about the basics of thoracic tumor immunology, advances in thoracic oncology immunotherapy, and understand the role of thoracic surgeons in evolving immunotherapy paradigm.

Hands-On Workshops:

  • Robotic Pulmonary Resections - Attendees will be introduced to the basics of robotic surgical systems and the applications in thoracic surgical procedures. This will be a hands-on workshop with simulation and tissue models available for a unique
    and interactive experience.
  • Chest Wall Reconstruction - Participants will engage in an interactive, hands-on demonstration of various techniques and materials commonly used for chest wall reconstruction, focusing on pros and cons associated with each approach based on the anatomy of the defect and goal of repair.
