Overview

This activityhas been of utmost importance to the intended learner population and addresses the following gaps:

1. Knowledqe of multidisciplinary approach in the management of breast tumors

2. Understanding of the use and interpretation of evidence-based medicine

3. Overview of various pathologic, surgical, medical, and psychosocial aspects of breast tumors.

4. Exposure to national and international thouqht leaders and innovators in the field of breast oncology and related fields

5. Participation in decision making process

6. Dissemination of ongoing basic and clinical research within our own institution and elsewhere 8. Interpret current literature and learn to appropriately apply available evidence in the management of patients with breast tumors


Objectives
  1. Ability to evaluate evidence-based practices and apply them to the care of their patients.
  2. Independently assess patients and be able to apply standards of care in the diagnosis
  3. Understand the pathology and biology of breast tumors
  4. Continuously be updated regarding current literature
  5. Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the field of breast oncology
  6. Remain aware of the multidisciplinary needs of patients with breast tumors
