Live Virtual Experience

We are committed to hosting the 9th Annual Global Conference on Perioperative Care of the Cancer Patient on December 10-11 2020, which will offer interactive opportunities for education and research. We are excited to announce that this course will now be delivered as a live virtual experience and we will maintain a flexible approach to the meeting program. Additional access details will be emailed to all attendees before the course.

This all virtual format will include a two day live program*, where attendees will be able to view presentations, hear live audio, and interact online, as well as on demand sessions. All sessions presented live will be recorded and both the recorded live sessions and the on demand sessions will be made available to attendees until March 31, 2021. Course faculty will be available to answer questions live throughout the live program. Additionally, registrants will be able to submit questions to the speakers through our website for one month following the program.

CME, MOCA®, and AANA credit will be offered for this course and a certificate will be available after a post-course evaluation is complete.

The Global Perioperative Care of the Cancer Patient Virtual Conference will be thought-provoking and more relevant than ever, consisting of a variety of different topics and learning formats. It will now include a Special Session on COVID-19 and cancer, addressing the challenges clinicians face today.

Join the conversation with us: #MSKperiop2020

*Please note the live virtual two day program will be delivered using Zoom. We encourage all attendees to download the Zoom app prior to the start of the course (zoom.us/download).

This international meeting is the work of leading anesthesiologists from several cancer centers of excellence worldwide. The multispecialty international consortium will address the clinical and translational evidence emerging in perioperative cancer care. The conference is designed to address the complexity and unique challenges for the perioperative care of the cancer patient and cancer survivors.

As the incidence of cancer and cancer survivorship grows, there is an increased need for anesthesiologists, surgeons, interventional radiologists, nurses and other perioperative health care professionals to provide their services for the multiple diagnostic and interventional procedures in this patient population. This conference will focus on the key elements related to perioperative care of the cancer patient needed to deliver value-based patient centric care.

This conference will consist of scientific panels, lectures and small group discussions and the opportunity to network online with leading international onco-anesthesiologists, surgeons and scientists.

  • Plenary Lecture: The Emperor of All Maladies - Can Anesthesia Influence Oncological Outcome?
  • Interactive Panels
  • Mini Medical Simulation
  • Real World Case Discussions
  • Special COVID-19 Panel
  • Virtual Social Networking Sessions

Target Audience

The course is intended for anesthesiologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, internists, basic scientists, CRNAs, perioperative nurses and allied health professionals. The course will also be geared towards scientists involved in translational and clinical research.

Objectives
  1. Understand the global impact of cancer
  2. Identify aspects of perioperative care to lead to improved care and outcomes
  3. Implement a strategy to deliver patient centric value based perioperative care
