Overview

This two-day, live virtual symposium is presented by advanced practice providers and allied clinicians to provide advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs), nurses, physicians, and other interested health care team members with up-to-date information on new developments and innovations in cancer treatment, management, and research. This symposium aims to provide health care professionals with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to deliver state-of-the-art collaborative team care, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the quality of life in patients with cancer. Each session will include didactic lectures and inter-professional panels.

Who Should Attend

The target audience for this symposium includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, physicians, and other health care team members collaborating to manage the care of the oncology patient.

Live Virtual Format

This live virtual program will be delivered using Zoom. We encourage all attendees to download the Zoom app prior to the start of the course (zoom.us/download). CME credit will be offered for this live virtual program. Detailed access and credit instructions will be emailed to attendees prior to the start of the course.

Objectives
  1. Identify innovative treatment strategies for adult and pediatric cancers.
  2. Discuss the integrated interprofessional disease management team model of care for the oncology patient.
  3. Strategize how to address quality of life and the psychosocial needs of cancer patients throughout the care continuum.
  4. Comprehend diagnostic imaging in the oncology setting to implement into practice.
  5. Discuss innovative leadership and professional development of the advanced practice provider in our current healthcare climate.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your participation in this course, you must email [email protected] at least seven (7) days prior to the start of the course, and your refund will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations or no-shows within seven (7) days of the course are not eligible for a refund. Please note that if it has been more than 120 days since payment was processed, a W9 form must be submitted in order process your refund and your refund will be issued in the form of a check payment. Refunds are not subject to tax. You may substitute another registrant in your place at any time by contacting [email protected] with the appropriate information.
