Overview
The course will review updates on the the multidisciplinary management of metastatic cancers including in the context of oligometastatic disease. We will review the ways in which Radiation Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Interventional Radiology collaborate in the management of metastatic disease, particularly as it impacts the musculoskeletal system. We will then review the recent literature on oligometastatic disease as it pertains to breast, prostate, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers. Lastly, we will review contemporary management of metastatic disease in the Radiation Oncology clinic and review available clinical research opportunities.

Objectives
  1. Overview of the multidisciplinary management of metastatic cancers including in the context of oligometastatic disease.
  2. Discuss collaboration between Radiation Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Interventional Radiology collaborate in the management of metastatic disease, particularly as it impacts the musculoskeletal system.
  3. Summarize contemporary mangement of metastatic disease in the Radiation Oncology clinic
  4. Identify available clinical research opportunities
