Overview

Throughout this four- and one-half-day course, faculty will provide an up-to-date review of the pathology of selected sub-specialty areas of neoplastic disease, including Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, and Thoracic pathology. Appropriate use of advanced diagnostic techniques, such as immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology, will be incorporated into the lectures, including the assessment of therapeutic biomarkers. Case presentations will also be integrated into select sessions.

The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has produced a course on the Surgical Pathology of Neoplastic Diseases for 40 years. We continue to expand the scope of the course to reflect the increasing contributions of cytopathology, immunopathology, and molecular pathology. The course faculty will include the attending pathology staff from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, along with selected visiting lecturers.

Optional Interactive Slide Seminars

We are pleased to offer attendees the option to register for more intimate, interactive slide seminar sessions on selected topics in Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, and Thoracic pathology. Registration is limited for the slide seminars and early registration is encouraged.

Who Should Attend

The target audience for this course includes practicing pathologists, both in academic and private practice environments, as well as residents and fellows in pathology who wish to broaden their understanding of neoplastic diseases.

This course is set to be an exclusively in-person event at Memorial Sloan Kettering's Rockefeller Research Laboratories. A virtual option will not be available.

Online Syllabus

Attendees will receive access to an online syllabus, which will include select PDFs of presentations (slides) of the lectures.
