Overview

MSK's Physician Relations Team invites you to a complimentary one-hour, virtual update on lung cancer. This complimentary lecture series, hosted by MSK's Physician Relations Team and led by MSK faculty experts, aims to provide valuable updates and insights across a wide range of topics.

In the 2023 Updates on Lung Cancer session:

  • Dr. Katherine Gray, MSK Thoracic Surgeon, will provide an update on Resectable Lung Cancer 
  • Dr. Michael Hwang, MSK Thoracic Oncologist, will provide an update on Targeted Therapy for Lung Cancer 
  • Dr. Daniel Gomez, MSK Radiation Oncologist, will provide an update on The Evolving Role of Radiation Therapy in the Context of Unresectable Lung Cancer: Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going?

Lectures will be followed by a Q&A session with the speakers, providing attendees the opportunity to engage with the faculty and ask questions. Additionally, attendees will receive access to an online syllabus after the meeting concludes, which includes select PDFs of the faculty presentations (slides) and recorded videos. Please note that you must check in during the meeting in order to receive access to the syllabus.

This session will be delivered virtually (via Zoom) and is intended for physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses, trainees, and other healthcare professionals interested in lung cancer.

Objectives
  1. State updated screening guidelines for lung cancer
  2. Recognize the indications for lobar vs sublobar resections for lung cancer
  3. Describe updates to multimodal treatment modalities, including immunotherapy in resectable lung cancer
  4. Discuss the next generation sequencing
  5. Recognize frontline options in stage IV disease
  6. Identify treatment options in early stage or locally advanced disease
  7. Describe standard of care treatment options in the context of unresectable lung cancer
  8. Discuss ongoing trials examining the role of radiation therapy in the context of unresectable lung cancer
