Overview

This annual symposium, tailored for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, provides a general overview of various critical care topics. This symposium is set to be an exclusively in-person event at Memorial Sloan Kettering's Zuckerman Research Center.

DAY 1 — Didactic Session

The first day features a series of didactic lectures encompassing a broad spectrum of critical care and oncology topics, including updated guidelines.

DAY 2 — Critical Care Simulation and Procedural Skills Workshop

The second day of the symposium will incorporate both hands-on and didactic POCUS training for the critical care provider and a first-time-ever, hands-on simulation workshop with various critical care simulation experiences.

The ultrasound workshop is aimed at helping providers gain a foundational understanding of point-of-care ultrasound and the basic skills to acquire and interpret ultrasound images. This workshop will have portions of didactic, guided image interpretations, and supervised hands-on image acquisition on live models. The second portion of this hands-on day will be conducted in our simulation room and include various critical care scenarios for Advanced Practice Providers.

Please note that the workshops on day 2 are optional and additional fees apply. Given the limited capacity in the workshops, we recommend early registration to secure your spot. MSK employees interested in participating in the day 2 workshops are encouraged to enroll in the waitlist Notification of available space will be communicated closer to the symposium date.
