Overview

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and MediSys Health Network are delighted to extend an on demand option for the inaugural Achieving Health Equity in Cancer Care Conference, originally held live on November 17, 2023.

The overarching aim of this conference is to create a valuable opportunity for researchers and all healthcare providers — whether faculty, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, case managers, trainees, students, or support staff — to learn about ways to address the social drivers of health and improve cancer care.

This on demand offering features a series of lectures and panel discussions led by leaders in the field. The lectures provide institutional context for health equity work, share the quality of care outcomes and metrics, and describe interventions and policies that can be used to optimize health equity. Speakers cover topics ranging from healthcare access to patient navigation, and enrollment in clinical trials.

For a comprehensive list of the lecture topics, panel discussions, and faculty details available for this on demand, please refer to the complete brochure from the live conference.

The content featured in this on demand is intended for all researchers, healthcare providers, and support staff with an interest in increasing health equity.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this on demand conference, learners will be able to:

  1. Address social drivers of health as a way to achieve health equity
  2. Implement programming to support overcoming barriers to care
  3. Discuss SDOH impacts in the patient, caregivers and the clinical team
