Overview

Pancreas cancers are on the rise. Treatment paradigms are changing, and many novel approaches are under development in this disease. This one day live virtual course, in conjunction with MSK's Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research (CPCR), is very timely and will review the epidemiology, genomic, molecular and pathologic features of this disease along with discussing diagnostic and therapeutic approaches both pancreas adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine tumors. The course will also discuss novel treatments and emerging directions and include a session on innovations in supportive care. An emphasis will be on multidisciplinary decision making and will include a case-based focus.

Who Should Attend

The course is designed for medical and surgical oncologists, gastroenterologists, internal medicine specialists, pathologists, geneticists, pharmacists, supportive care staff, nursing, advanced practice practitioners, trainees and other disciplines. MSK is pleased to invite patients to attend this course on a complimentary basis (details below).

Live Virtual Format

This live virtual program will be delivered using Zoom. We encourage all attendees to download the Zoom app prior to the start of the course (zoom.us/download). CME credit will be offered for this live virtual program. Detailed access and credit instructions will be emailed to attendees prior to the start of the course.

Objectives
  1. Describe the pathologic, genetic and molecular hallmarks of pancreas cancer
  2. Identify the importance of and where to optimally utilize multidisciplinary care for management of pancreas cancer
  3. Outline current diagnostic and surgical strategies for pancreas cancer
  4. Review the indications and implications of germline and somatic testing in pancreas cancer
  5. Define the key novel therapeutic approaches for management of pancreas cancer and neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas
  6. Review new innovations in supportive care approaches for pancreas cancer

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
