This Symposium aims to provide the tools healthcare professionals need to deliver state-of-the-art collaborative team care, improve patient outcomes, and enhance quality of life in patients with cancer.

Who Should Attend

The target audience includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physicians, and nurses who care for oncology patients.

This well-rounded program in oncology will include a four-hour dedicated pediatric breakout session on Day 1 to address the learning needs of healthcare professionals practicing in this specialty.

MSK Cancer Alliance

The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance is designed to share MSK’s standards of care and clinical trials with community healthcare leaders, all with a mission to improve quality cancer care for patients. This program is presented in collaboration with the MSK Cancer Alliance and includes faculty from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute, and Miami Cancer Institute: Baptist Health South Florida.

Registration is open to healthcare professionals both within the MSK Cancer Alliance as well as those practicing from other centers.
Objectives

By attending this Symposium, attendees will be able to:


  1. Identify innovative medical and surgical cancer treatment strategies for adult and pediatric cancers
  2. Explain initiatives that promote advanced practice provider practice and professional development
  3. Discuss ethical considerations seen throughout the cancer care continuum
  4. Describe the multi-disciplinary approach and specialized teams necessary to optimize care in the oncology population
  5. Formulate an optimal plan for the management of patients experiencing an oncologic emergency
  6. Recognize inequities in the screening, diagnosis, and management of cancer
  7. Identify cancer risk, assessment, prevention, and treatment in patients with a hereditary predisposition

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your participation in this course, you must email [email protected] at least seven (7) days prior to the start of the course, and your refund will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations or no-shows within seven (7) days of the course are not eligible for a refund. Please note that if it has been more than 120 days since payment was processed, a W9 form must be submitted in order process your refund and your refund will be issued in the form of a check payment.
