Overview

The purpose of this course is to provide clinicians and scientists with an updated overview of the future of dermatology through the lens of medical informatics. There will be ample time for questions and discussions throughout the day. This course is directed towards clinicians, researchers, and industry motivated to help advance skin cancer diagnosis into the 21st century.

There are no CME credits offered for this course.


Objectives
  1. Understand the opportunities and barriers to leveraging computer informatics for the diagnosis of skin cancers
  2. Understand the benefits of and challenges to the integration of dermatologic photography with electronic medical records (EMR)
  3. Understand the benefits, limitations and legal barriers of teledermatology
  4. Define the privacy issues associated with the use of dermatology images in the EMR, in patient communications, and in research in the era of cloud computing and public databases.

If you cancel your participation in this course, your registration fee, less a $75 administrative fee, will be refunded when email notification is received by the MSK Office of Continuing Medical Education (MSK CME) at least 7 days prior to the first day of the course ([email protected]).Cancellations or no-shows after this date are not eligible for a refund. MSK CME reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event we must cancel or postpone this course, we will refund the registration fee in full, but are not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including fees incurred by airline/travel/lodging agencies.
