Overview

This is a one-and-a-half-day live and virtual rectal cancer symposium will feature expert faculty from around the world. 

Day 1 includes presentations that will delve into the complexities of choosing between neoadjuvant therapies and operative and non-operative approaches. The day will begin with the Stuart Quan lecture by Dr. Luis Diaz on the use of immunotherapy in CRC. This talk will be followed by sessions on 1) early-stage rectal cancer, 2) upper rectal cancer, 3) mid/lower rectal cancer, and 4) MSI and stage IV rectal cancer. Each session will be accompanied by interactive discussions with thought leaders and attendees.

Day 2 will include sessions with presentations highlighting recent landmark colorectal cancer clinical trials and real-life applications, including Niche, Dynamic, AINKER, and NeoTrial, by their investigators and discussed by expert faculty.

 

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Participants are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the poster session. Abstracts will be selected on the basis of scientific merit and presentation quality. To submit an abstract for this course, please click on the 'Abstracts' link above.

A discounted rate is available for authors who submit an abstract. Information will be included in your submission email. Additionally, three $500 travel grants will be awarded, one for each of the following:

Who Should Attend

This symposium is intended for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, colorectal/hepatopancreatobiliary/oncologic surgeons, gastroenterologists, pathologists, and other oncology care team members interested in rectal cancer.

We are also pleased to offer a Hands-on Rectal MRI Workshop on Thursday, November 10, for radiologists. Those who register for the MRI workshop will receive complimentary registration to the Advances in Colorectal Oncology Symposium.

We invite attendees to join us live, in-person at Zuckerman Research Center for this program. A Virtual option is also available for those who are unable to join us in-person.

Networking Reception

In-person attendees are invited to join the course faculty for a networking reception on Friday evening, immediately following the conclusion of the day. Hors d'oeuvre and refreshments will be served in the lobby of Zuckerman Research Center.

Cancellations or no-shows within seven (7) days of the course are not eligible for a refund. Please note that if it has been more than 120 days since payment was processed, a W9 form must be submitted in order process your refund and your refund will be issued in the form of a check payment. Refunds are not subject to tax. You may substitute another registrant in your place at any time by contacting cme@mskcc.org with the appropriate information.
