Overview

Due to the overwhelming response to this program, we have reached full capacity and can no longer accept new registrations. Please be advised that an on-demand option for this conference will be offered in the coming months, providing full access to the entire program and the opportunity to claim credit. To be notified when the on-demand option is available, please click here to join our mailing list.

If you're currently registered for this conference and are unable to attend live, we kindly ask that you cancel your registration by emailing [email protected], so we can offer the spot to another attendee.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and MediSys Health Network are pleased to present this dynamic one-day complimentary event. This conference is an opportunity to bring experts from various fields, institutions, and specialties to speak about ways we can improve health equity for communities that are underserved by limited access to healthcare.

Our speakers come from various institutions such as the National Institutes of Health, the New York City Department of Health, academic centers, and community hospitals. Through this diversity of perspectives and expertise, we will highlight the many different ways one can improve health equity in their own practice and institution.

Session topics include innovative ways to deliver healthcare to communities that are underserved, workforce diversification, clinical trial diversification, and innovation in tobacco cessation and lung cancer screening. These topics are relevant to any individual within the healthcare team and we welcome all to attend. Beyond the knowledge gained, this conference is also an opportunity to create community and collaborations with like-minded individuals also passionate about health equity.

The conference is intended for all providers with an interest in increasing health equity, including physicians, advanced practice providers, trainees, nurses, patient navigators, social workers, and case managers. This symposium will be held exclusively in person at Zuckerman Research Center. A virtual attendance option will not be available.

Registered attendees will receive access to an online syllabus after the conference, which will include select PDFs of the faculty presentations (slides) and recorded videos.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss current and ongoing work being done in various health equity initiatives
  2. Strategize how to implement health equity programs in their own practice
  3. Describe how various institutions are tackling the same health equity initiatives
