Overview

Neuro-oncology is a uniquely specialized field requiring providers to have advanced knowledge and understanding to optimize patient care. This course, originally held live on September 18, 2024, is designed to update Advanced Practice Providers and other healthcare professionals on the latest treatments and clinical trials, enhancing their understanding of the complex management of patients living with cancers of the central nervous system (CNS). The program covers topics such as neurosurgical innovations, novel therapies, the challenges and successes of clinical trials, and the commitment to increasing access to available treatments for all individuals with CNS cancers. Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  1. Engage participants in a comprehensive learning experience through a case study approach.
  2. Explore the advances in novel therapies and clinical trials for cancers of the central nervous system.
  3. Discuss the challenges and successes of clinical trial in neuro-oncology.
  4. Highlight innovations in neurosurgical procedures and early recovery after surgery.
  5. Employ early recognition and treatment of neuro-oncologic emergencies.
