Overview

This comprehensive course will cover imaging of esophageal, gastric, small intestinal and colorectal cancers. The two day program, comprised of lectures and multidisciplinary tumor boards, will include experts in radiology, surgery, medical oncology, pathology, and radiation oncology. This program will be highly interactive and utilize an audience response system throughout. 

The program will be grouped by session; each session consisting of a series of lectures and concluding with a multidisciplinary tumor board. The first day will start with esophageal cancer, followed by gastric cancer, and then small bowel cancer. The second day will cover colon, rectal, and anal cancers. Each lecture will emphasize emerging or existing tumor metric systems to use clinically and in research. This conference will make attendees aware of national protocols and radiologic/nuclear medicine standards that are currently being used or explored.

Who Should Attend

The target audience for this course includes Radiologists as well as GI Medical Oncologists, GI Surgical Oncologists, Gastroenterologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, and trainees in these specialty areas.

Live Virtual Program

This live virtual program will be delivered using Zoom. We encourage all attendees to download the Zoom app prior to the start of the course (zoom.us/download). Additional access details will be emailed to all attendees before the course. CME credit will be offered for this virtual program.


Objectives
  1. Understand the scope and demographics of the cancer
  2. Explain the role of imaging in screening, staging, restaging and surveillance
  3. Be aware of challenges and limitations of imaging modalities and of various response assessment metrics
  4. Outline the standard of care treatment for each cancer and the role of the multidisciplinary team approach
  5. Recognize the most recent trends in treatment and diagnosis changes and ongoing clinical trials
  6. Create added-value reporting templates at your institution or practice that will carry forward and spread your new knowledge to implement into practice

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your participation in this course, you must email cme@mskcc.org at least seven (7) days prior to the start of the course, and your refund will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations or no-shows within seven (7) days of the course are not eligible for a refund. Please note that if it has been more than 120 days since payment was processed, a W9 form must be submitted in order process your refund and your refund will be issued in the form of a check payment. Refunds are not subject to tax. You may substitute another registrant in your place at any time by contacting cme@mskcc.org with the appropriate information.
