Overview

This one-day multidisciplinary Chronic GVHD Conference is designed to advance the understanding and management of adult and pediatric chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). The activity brings together experts in hematology, transplantation, dermatology, ophthalmology, gynecology, pulmonary, pharmacy, dental, nutrition, and supportive care to review current research, practical management strategies, and emerging innovations in the field.

The program features a keynote address by Stephanie Lee, MD, MPH, on patient-reported outcomes in adult and pediatric cGVHD, followed by expert-led presentations on the biology of chronic GVHD and organ-specific manifestations, including ocular, oral, gynecologic, cutaneous, musculoskeletal, pulmonary, endocrine, and nutritional issues. Additional sessions address oral cancer screening, pediatric and adult pharmacy considerations, AI-driven data mining for clinical insight, new apps for GVHD care, and strategies for building a multidisciplinary GVHD clinic.

Interactive panel discussions throughout the day will highlight real-world approaches to diagnosis, symptom management, and coordinated care across specialties. The activity also includes dedicated sessions on managing adult and pediatric patients with cGVHD, as well as a closing debate on perspectives in combination therapy.

Participants are invited to attend a networking reception following the accredited sessions. RSVP is encouraged at the time of registration.

This educational activity is intended for clinicians and allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with chronic GVHD and offers a comprehensive, team-based perspective on improving outcomes and shaping the future of cGVHD care.

Objectives
  1. Analyze the underlying biologic and immunopathogenic mechanisms of chronic GVHD and synthesize current evidence on disease progression to inform rational selection and sequencing of newly approved systemic therapies.
  2. Apply diagnostic and therapeutic principles of chronic GVHD, demonstrating the ability to distinguish disease activity from damage and develop individualized management strategies across organ systems.
  3. Evaluate and integrate available assessment tools, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), and emerging technologies, including digital imaging and data analytics, to enhance diagnosis, monitoring, and response assessment in chronic GVHD.
