Overview

Dermoscopy permits the observer to visualize skin structures located below the stratum corneum that are not visible to the unaided eye. The morphology visualized through dermoscopy has led to improve clinical diagnostic accuracy with increased sensitivity and specificity for the detection of cutaneous malignancies.

This educational activity is designed for Dermatologists, Family Physicians, General Internists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

LIVE SIMULCAST

We are pleased to offer a live simulcast for the 14th Annual Dermoscopy Intermediate Course. Attendees registered for the live simulcast option will receive detailed instructions via email prior to the start of the course. This will include information on how to engage with the faculty (through an online Q&A) as well as information on how to claim CME credit - active participation throughout the live simulcast is encouraged. Please note the simulcast will begin at 8:00 am on both days and will end at 5:00 pm (EST), with a hour lunch break.

Objectives
  1. Outline a logical and easy to follow framework for the dermoscopic evaluation of cutaneous lesions.
  2. Identify the features of both melanocytic and non-melanocytic lesions.
  3. Describe a management approach, based on dermoscopic findings, to correctly identify lesions requiring biopsy .
